Meet Zoe Hague! Molly-Mae's sister has a very different background (2024)

There’s nobody quite like your sisters. We have several sibling girl gangs here in Ireland, like the Garrihys and the Ryans, who are killing it but another sibling dream team you should have your eye on is Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague and her sister Zoe.

Zoe, 27, has started to build a career online after leaving the Army Medical Corp in 2023 and is now set to tie the knot weeks after her sister proudly planned her a dreamy hen weekend.

We already know a lot about Molly-Mae but what about Zoe? Here's everything you need to know about the older Hague sister...

Work and career

While Molly-Mae was shooting to fame on Love Island, her sister Zoe was serving in the British Army Medical Corps. Zoe previously did a YouTube Q&A on her experience and explained how when she signed up at 22 she wanted to be in the infantry but couldn’t as it wasn’t open to women at the time and she ended up training as a medic.

While she was training she decided she wanted to go into the PT [personal training] corps as she was very passionate about it but she didn’t get promoted to complete this. Zoe claimed that this was because the people writing her reports barely knew her.

She explained: '[Going into the army] wasn’t something I planned on doing or something I wanted to do while at school. I wouldn’t say I’ve been overly lucky. I’ve been in the army for five years but the regiment I was at wasn’t for me… I’ve experienced so much that you wouldn’t in a normal job I just wish for me it’d gone differently.'

Zoe explained her passion got ‘less and less’ over the years and that her day-to-day job was mostly cleaning. She added that one of the main reasons she decided to leave was because her ‘potential’ wasn’t seen although stressed that she still had some great times.

PrettyLittleThing brand deal

After leaving the army, Zoe focused on her social media presence and quickly built a sizable following which as of May 2024 stands at 370k on Instagram.

MailOnline reported last year that she's also been in talks to sign a brand deal with fashion chain PrettyLittleThing after Zoe shared her first promoted video with them on YouTube which has more than 13K views.

An insider told the publication at the time: ‘It's a no-brainer. Molly-Mae's working relationship with PLT has been a triumph and now bosses are hoping to replicate the same with Zoe.

'The sisters are also looking to collaborate and build on their brand as a family, which could make them millions.'

Zoe is engaged to her partner Danny Rae whom she went Instagram official with in August 2021. They announced their engagement in April 2022.

She shared a lovely picture of him down on one knee while they were hiking and wrote: ‘You’re all I ever dreamed of. Yes.’ Danny is also in the British Army and serves in the armoured corps.

They live together in a rented home and Danny goes away every couple of weeks for work. Zoe explained in 2023 how she was preparing for Danny to go away for six months in December.

'He's going away for six months which I feel extremely sick about, I won't lie. Six months is a very long time and he gets back just before we get married,' Zoe explained. 'We both signed up for that job and knew what it entailed so for us it's not an issue, we've both experienced it [being away with the army] and can relate to going away... It can put a strain on some relationships.'

Posts with Molly-Mae

Molly-Mae and Zoe are close and often post snaps together. Molly-Mae spent the final days of her pregnancy with her sister and Zoe was one of the people who visited Molly-Mae and Tommy in the hospital when their daughter Bambi was born.

Zoe shared snaps from the hospital, including a cute one of her holding her newborn niece, and wrote: 'My beautiful Niece. Already having the most magical time with you, I love you so much.'

Zoe's Instagram is also scattered with throwback shots of the sisters throughout the years including photos from past trips to Paris and their mum Debbie's wedding in July 2021.

Working together

After Zoe left the army, her sister was on hand to support her.

'Molly's offered so many things to me,' Zoe said in her YouTube chat in 2023. 'She's offered me to help with Filter; she's said she'll pay me a monthly wage, but I can't. It's not me. I need to be out and about doing something.' she said.

Zoe continued: 'I'm very lucky she does and she's always offering to get me things, which I'm super super grateful for.'

Zoe's hen weekend

Molly-Mae whisked her sister off to a luxury villa in Ibiza for her hen weekend in May alongside 10 of her best pals.

The mum-of-one kitted out their accommodation with white balloons, heart-shaped sunglasses, and decorations that read 'Forever and a Rae'- a sweet nod to Zoe's fiancé Danny's surname.

Judging by the pictures, the ladies had a fabulous time celebrating Zoe's last fling before the ring in the sun and we can't wait to see their wedding style after swooning over the hen 'fits!
